Chick-fil-A Cedar Park has reopened after undergoing renovations.
What to know: The location first announced its temporary closure on Facebook in July. On Oct. 2, the business posted about its reopening, which took place the following day.
Officials with Chick-fil-A said the location made updates to its exterior, including enhancements to the drive-thru to accommodate more vehicles and improve speed of service as well as interior updates, such as refreshed decor and a dedicated space for team members.

TRAVIS COUNTY COVERAGE
Travis County readies 6 priority bills for Texas’ 89th legislative session
As the Nov. 12 bill filing date approaches, Travis County officials have approved a set of legislative priorities for the 89th Texas legislative session, which begins in January.
The details: Staff outlined six specific bills currently being drafted:
An Austin State Hospital ground lease agreement with the state to utilize vacated buildings or land for diversion and deflection initiatives
Allowing counties and emergency services districts to enter into interlocal agreements for the shared enforcement of county fire code
Allowing local governments to meet only one part of a surplus property donation test, rather than all three parts
Reducing how often the county’s bail bond board is required to meet
Changing state law to allow the county to hire local professional agents for deer management within the Balcones Canyonland Preserve
Refiling a bill from last session for a carve-out statute that would allow, but not require, the county to provide waste management services in extraterritorial jurisdictions

The Rotary Club of Georgetown will host the eighth annual event displaying 2,000 full-size flags to honor military personnel, veterans, first responders, K-9 units and equestrian heroes. Open enrollment for Affordable Care Act coverage begins; local organizations encourage Texans to apply
The period to enroll for Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace coverage began Nov 1. and runs through Jan. 15. The Marketplace is a service through the federal government that provides health insurance for those who do not have insurance through a job, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, or other qualifying insurance plans.
The details: Health insurance plans through the marketplace are required to hold specific benefits. These include 10 essential health benefits, like prescription drugs, emergency services, hospitalization, mental health, laboratory services and substance misuse services. Marketplace plans also include coverage for preexisting health conditions and free preventative health services, like shots and screening tests. To receive coverage starting Jan. 1, members must be enrolled by Dec. 15. Coverage for those who enroll by Jan. 15 will receive coverage starting Feb. 1.
