New wellness clinic opens in Pearland

Mind Body Optimization, a clinic that offers mental health and wellness services, opened a new office in Pearland in early March, according to a March 17 news release from the business.

The Pearland office also provides services to Friendswood, Alvin and the South Houston area.

What they offer: The clinic was founded by husband and wife Mike and Mickala Sisk in 2024.

The clinics are designed to treat the whole person through a combination of advanced diagnostics and personalized care plans, the news release notes.

Quote of note: “It’s crucial that mental healthcare is easily accessible and treats the whole person," co-founder Mickala Sisk said in the news release. "Our goal is to compassionately help patients forge their own path to sustainable healing. We’re so happy that we can now help the communities of Pearland, The Woodlands and Brookshire.”

Project: Shaw Road would be widened from two to four lanes between Northpointe Boulevard and Boudreaux Road, per Harris County Precinct 3’s website.
Update: The study phase has been completed, and future roadway options are being evaluated, according to Harris County Precinct 3 officials.

Ongoing projects
Woodlands Parkway asphalt shoulder replacement
Project: Asphalt shoulders will be replaced between FM 2978 and I-45.
