More than 80 homes sold across Denton, other real estate trends for November

Across six ZIP codes in Denton, there were 82 homes sold in November, according to data from the MetroTex Association of Realtors.

The breakdown: This is a 19.61% decrease from the 102 homes sold in the area in November 2024.

Margarita Hut celebrates grand opening with first Denton location

Margarita Hut celebrated its grand opening with the Denton Chamber of Commerce and hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in mid-December.

The details: Margarita Hut recently joined the Denton chamber and is the third franchise location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with the other two locations in Little Elm and North Richland Hills. The Denton location officially opened in March, a representative told Community Impact.

The margarita bar specializes in a variety of tequila- and rum-based cocktails, including the classic frozen margarita, strawberry daiquiri and sangrias.

Check out these new restaurants and bars opening across the Dallas - Fort Worth area.

Pizza Twist opened Dec. 20 in Flower Mound and is serving specialty pizzas like butter chicken pizza, bombay barbecue pizza and Hawaiian pizza.

In addition to the variety of pizzas, the Indian fusion restaurant will offer pasta, breadsticks, chicken wings, salad, fries and paneer pakora, which is a bread served with Pizza Twist’s signature sauce.

Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi recently launched a soft opening Dec. 19 in Plano.

The restaurant offers hibachi and hot pot dining experiences as well as a variety of sushi options. Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi is a concept by Shogun Group which has multiple restaurants in the Houston area as well as Austin and San Marcos.

Plaza Premium Group to add 2 more lounges at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Plaza Premium Group will add two more lounges within Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in early 2026.

Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge will be located in Terminal D. The spaces will deliver a tailored experience for travelers with diverse expectations and travel with purpose and preferences, according to a news release.

The details: The dual lounge concept will be located near Gate D17. It will be the second in North America, joining Vancouver International Airport.

Plaza Premium First and the Premium Plaza Lounge will offer a lounge experience with personalized service, featuring dining, amenities and privacy, according to a news release.

The background: DFW Airport has been the home of Plaza Premium Group's regional headquarters for the Americas since 2023. The company employs more than 400 employees across the United States, according to a news release.
