Upcoming projects
1. Legacy Drive updates: Legacy Drive will be updated from Main Street to Panther Creek Parkway.

2. Panther Creek Parkway widening: Panther Creek Parkway will be widened from a four-lane roadway to a six-lane roadway from Preston Road to Coit Road.

3. Hillcrest Road construction: The project will construct a four-lane divided roadway from Eldorado Parkway to Main Street.

4. Warren Parkway upgrades: Warren Parkway will be updated from Legacy Drive to Internet Boulevard.

Ivy Beauty Institute to offer classes, spa treatments in Frisco

Ivy Beauty Institute is now enrolling students for classes starting in April, owner Ketia Bradley said.

The beauty school will teach a mix of aesthetics and massage at its new location in Frisco, Bradley said.

She said the curriculum will prepare students to work at med spas and alongside dermatologists and plastic surgeons.

The setup: Once classes begin, Ivy Beauty Institute will offer spa treatments to the general public.

Stackz Smash Burgers & Cocktails is set to open soon in Frisco’s The Shops at Starwood, business owner Jasin Burt said.

A closer look: The menu will include double-patty smash burgers, bold house-made sauces, boozy milkshakes and a focused craft cocktail program.

“The restaurant will feature an open kitchen and a high-energy atmosphere blending elevated comfort food with a polished cocktail bar,” Burt said in an email.

Casa Alma Restaurante Mexicano and Chido Taco Lounge were formerly housed in this location.
