As a winter storm warning is in effect for most of the North Texas area, McKinney ISD has canceled school on Monday, Jan. 26.

What you need to know: All MISD schools and facilities will be closed Jan. 26, a district Facebook post states, citing extreme forecasted weather conditions. The closure also applies to all school-related activities, after-school programs and extracurricular events.

Looking ahead: McKinney ISD parents will be notified through the district’s email, phone call and text message system in the event of any further school closures or delays. Information will also be posted on the district’s Facebook and website.
