Little Moose Creamery offers soft-serve, milkshakes in Frisco

Little Moose Creamery opened its Frisco location Oct. 4.

The details: The family-owned ice cream shop was designed as a warm, inviting space where community members can gather, celebrate and enjoy a variety of frozen desserts.

Soft serve ice cream is available in traditional flavors like strawberry, chocolate and vanilla, along with rotating flavors like matcha, mango, pina colada and London fog.

iCode to relocate coding classes, after-school programs in Frisco

iCode, a hands-on K-12 STEM and computer science education center, is relocating to central Frisco this November.

What to know: iCode—which has 11 other locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area—offers STEM-based learning opportunities in game design, coding, robotics, digital design and more. The business opened its first Frisco location in May 2015 and its second in October 2017.

According to the iCode website, the East Frisco location is relocating to a new storefront near the Tom Thumb at the corner of Preston and Lebanon roads.

Upcoming projects

  1. Legacy Drive, Stonebrook Parkway widening

Project: Legacy Drive will be widened from Lebanon Road to Stonebrook Parkway. Stonebrook will be widened from Legacy to 4th Army Drive. The roadways will be widened and reconstructed.

Update: The project is in the design phase and expected to start construction later this year.

  • Cost: $20 million

  • Funding source: city of Frisco

  1. FM 1385 widening

Project: FM 1385 from US 380 to Union Park Boulevard in Prosper will be widened to four lanes with curbs and gutters.

Update: The Texas Transportation Commission approved $38.2 million to widen the roadway as part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s 2027 Unified Transportation Program in August, a TxDOT representative said. The Unified Transportation Program is a plan, not an official allocation of funds, so it is subject to change.
