The Carroll ISD board of trustees voted to cancel its Nov. 3 election due to all candidates running unopposed.
Board trustee Place 1, Place 2 and Place 3 were up for reelection but were uncontested at the end of the qualifying period with no write-in candidates declaring intention to be on the ballot, according to the district.
What it means: All three board positions will continue to be held by the trustees currently in those roles. The CISD board consists of seven members who are elected for three-year terms.
Place 1 will continue to be held by Christy Stacy, who was originally elected in 2023.
Place 2 will continue to be held by Eric Lannen, who was originally elected in 2020.
Place 3 will continue to be held by Mandy Reece, who was originally elected in 2025 to fill a vacant seat.
What else: The unopposed candidates were certified by the board at its Sept. 14 meeting and will be sworn-in during a November meeting.
