Mack McDonald, oil and gas executive and founder of The Rouxpour, is opening a new fine-dining concept in River Oaks. What we know: Spanning roughly 16,000 square feet, Mack Allen’s will occupy the entire first floor of the 28-story office tower, 5POP. The space will feature a garden-inspired design, three private dining spaces and a botanical patio, according to a May 14 news release from company representatives. More details: Led by Executive Chef Carlos Andrade, Mack Allen’s menu will feature seafood dishes such as oysters, sushi, sashimi, caviar, lobster and crab. The hospitality program is led by general manager and sommelier Shaun Stockton, who has previously worked at Turner’s, The Annie Café & Bar and Emilio’s Havana.
