Botanical soap brand SaponiQ launches in Richardson

SaponiQ, a Richardson-based soap brand, launched in early October, said founder Sandy Palisch.

A closer look: SaponiQ sells six botanical cleansing bars made from scratch at the company’s cold-process production facility in Richardson. The bars include plant-based ingredients like aloe and turmeric, as well as charcoal and essential oils.

Quote of note: "My engineering background taught me to question every part of a system," Palisch said in a news release. "When I looked at body care, I saw innovation becoming synonymous with adding more products and more steps. I wanted to apply that same engineering mindset to something much simpler: how much better can we make the cleansing step itself?"
