Data shows uptick in Northwest Austin home sales in June

The median price of homes sold in Northwest Austin increased year over year in June, according to data provided by Unlock MLS.

The overview: Five out of seven ZIP codes in Northwest Austin saw an increase in the median sales price in June, compared to June 2025.

While prices rose, the number of home sales saw an uptick, from 112 closings in June 2025 to 133 this June. Homes under contract, or pending sales, also rose from 106 to 119. 

Diving deeper: Looking at the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area, Unlock MLS data shows the median price saw a year-over-year increase by 1.1%.

The market saw little change in home sales, rising by less than 1%. However, pending sales increased by 13.2%. Throughout Travis County, pending sales rose by 16.7%, and Williamson County’s pending sales increased by 14.5%.

Crunch Fitness now open on West Parmer Lane

Crunch Fitness opened a new location on West Parmer Lane in Austin.

The gist: The facility offers a range of cardio equipment, weights and exercise machines. Other features and amenities include personal training, group classes, locker rooms with showers, HydroMassage and tanning.

The gym offers three different membership options.

The new location on West Parmer Lane opened in the former Hana World Market, which closed in late 2025.

Hyperreal Film Club celebrates a decade of movie magic in Austin

Hyperreal Film Club was founded by Jenni Kaye, David McMichael and Tanner Hadfield in 2016, starting with pop up events around Austin, according to its website. The club has been at its permanent location in East Austin since 2024, offering movies Monday-Friday.

"Hyperreal Film Club started out in 2016 as a basement screening for wide-eyed, wild-eyed dreamers and movie pals ... and that's what it still is as we kick off decade number two,” co-founder David McMichael said.

What they offer: The club screens multiple movies a week in a range of genres. Its recent lineup has included “Romy and Michele's High School Reunion” and “Akira.”
Hyperreal Film Club offers sliding scale ticket prices, popcorn and beverages.

The celebration: Hyperreal Film Club is celebrating its milestone anniversary with a "Matrix" Rave on July 24, featuring a costume contest, music, prizes and drink specials. Tickets are available online.
