A section of Custer Road in Plano is set for more than $2 million in road work.

What you need to know: Plano City Council approved a $2.09 million contract with R&A Legacy Construction LLC during its Feb. 9 meeting.

The project will include arterial concrete repairs from SH 121 to Hedgcoxe Road, according to city documents.

Crews will repair an estimated 17,600 square yards of concrete along the road, along with 12,500 square feet of sidewalk and 25 barrier-free ramps.

Dill Dinkers opened Jan. 29 in Plano, a company representative said.

The details: The facility features cushioned surfaces and top-tier lighting, the representative said in an email. The business also offers open play and lessons for various skill levels. Court rentals are available for visitors and members.

Red’s on Main launched a soft opening Feb. 7 in Frisco, business owner Adrian Creasey said.

On the menu: The new eatery will serve modern American cuisine including paninis, smashburgers, chicken fried steak and salads, Creasy said. During the soft launch, the menu will be limited, according to onsite signage.
