10 events to get into in The Woodlands this weekend, Oct. 1-4

Several events are scheduled in The Woodlands from Oct. 1-4, though activities remain subject to change. The lineup features the following events:

  • Mumford & Sons performs with the Marcus King Band on Oct. 1 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
  • The Fall Concert Series features Hybrid 7 on Oct. 1 at Market Street, alongside a Light it up Pink breast cancer awareness event.
  • A staff-led Moonlight Paddle kayak ride takes place on Oct. 2 at Riva Row Boat House.
  • The Woodlands Children’s Museum hosts the Mad Hatter Adventure on Oct. 2.
  • Memorial Hermann’s annual In the Pink of Health Luncheon raises cancer support funds on Oct. 2.
  • Boz Scaggs performs on Oct. 2 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
  • Meet the Fleet offers a hands-on experience with first responder vehicles on Oct. 3.
  • The Woodlands Mall hosts a free outdoor screening of Wicked: For Good on Oct. 3.

Wicked Core marks its 10-year anniversary

What you need to know: Wicked Core is celebrating its 10-year anniversary on Oct. 10, according to owner Deborah Miner. Located at 3555 Rayford Road, Ste. 15 in Spring, the Lagree pilates studio combines pilates, cardio and strength training to provide a low-impact, high-intensity workout.

To mark the anniversary, the studio will hold a celebration featuring a Team Teach Day. This event will showcase two instructor favorites for each class. Miner expressed gratitude to the clients and instructors who have supported the studio throughout its 10-year journey.

New nonprofit offers program on history of The Woodlands's values

The Woodlands U is a new nonprofit project designed to educate residents in The Woodlands and the general public on the history of the community. Participants in the program will receive a seven-session presentation to gain a deeper understanding of George Mitchell's vision for the community.

What you need to know: Applications are currently being accepted for the program, which costs $75. The sessions will take place at various locations throughout The Woodlands. The program requires attendance at seven sessions held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the following dates in fall 2026:

  • Oct. 6

  • Oct. 13

  • Oct. 20

  • Oct. 27

  • Nov. 10

 
Election News
Harris Votes launches app ahead of November elections

The Harris County Clerk’s Office is rolling out a new app, Harris Votes, to help voters access election information and track results. Although the app is already available for iPhone and Android users to download, it will officially launch Oct. 1 ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

The app is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese. Using the app, voters will be able to:

  • Find voting centers

  • View a personalized sample ballot

  • See election dates and receive reminders

  • Check their voter registration status

  • Follow live election results

  • View frequently asked questions
