Boozy Book Fair
Three local bookstores will team up to host a Boozy Book Fair at The All Good.

Friday the 13th Tattoo Flash Event
Don’t Tell Mama Tattoo, Cedar Park’s first tattoo shop, will host a Friday the 13th event with flash tattoos, raffles, door prizes, new merch, drinks and sweets.

Amplify WilCo Day
The third annual event will benefit over 90 nonprofits serving Williamson County. Residents can make early donations leading up the event, which will contribute to the day’s overall total.

Best Brains Learning Center now open in Cedar Park

Best Brains Learning Center is now open in Cedar Park.

The details: The space opened in January. The center is locally owned by Sailaja Ampati and Vasavi Sathya Saranya Lakshmi of Leander, who also own another Best Brains Learning Center in Pflugerville.

What parents should know: Best Brains offers "academic enrichment programs in math, English, abacus and coding for children ages 3-14," according to the owners. They say the center's services are centered around small group instruction taught by board-certified teachers. Families can call to schedule a free consultation and placement test, 737-407-0000.

Check out these new restaurants and bars opening across the Austin area.

Cupprimo at the Lake now serving cupcakes and more in Lakeway

Locally owned by Amy Closson, the shop's daily menu includes quiche, coffee and seven cupcake flavors available every day of the week: red velvet, blue velvet, tuxedo, strawberry, birthday cake, double chocolate and primo vanilla.

There are also special cupcake flavors available on certain days of the week such as lemon raspberry on Mondays and whiskey brownie on Fridays, as well as mystery cupcake flavors on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe now serving breakfast, brunch, lunch in Round Rock

The Toasted Yolk Cafe opened Jan. 26 in Round Rock.

The cafe offers a menu centered around the morning and mid-day meals, as well as specialty donuts and beverages. This includes breakfast burritos, different takes on toast, salads, soups, sandwiches and cocktails from the restaurant's full bar.

New hotel, Big Air trampoline park to open off Hero Way in Leander

A new hotel, a trampoline and adventure park and an event center are coming to Leander. The 21-acre mixed-use project by ARS Developers is slated to open off Hero Way south of the CR 270 intersection.

The details: The development is planned to include:

  • A four-story major flag hotel with 123 rooms and a one-story lodge
  • A Big Air trampoline and adventure park totaling more than 32,000 square feet next to a nearly 13,000-square-foot sports bar
  • An 11-500-square-foot event center connected to an outdoor lawn
  • More than 45,000 square feet of retail space
  • A 31,200-square-foot warehouse
  • A dog park

Something to note: 
The new businesses will be located off a portion of Hero Way that will be transformed into a controlled-access highway. Williamson County is planning to expand Hero Way and RM 2243 from 183A Toll to Garey Park.

Stay tuned: ARS Developers is aiming to begin construction in January for an estimated completion date of late 2027 or early 2028 for the hotel, Big Air and event center, ARS Developers representative Prasad Kolishetti said.
