Run clubs to explore in Pflugerville, Hutto and Round Rock

For those looking to start their running journey or meet fellow runners and walkers, here are three area run clubs to explore this year.

Huffin’ Hippos Run Club: Jenni Myers, owner of the Huffin’ Hippos Run Club Facebook group, joined the club in 2023. She was looking to meet people in the community after living in the area for a few years, and though she wasn’t a runner at the time, Myers said the group welcomed and motivated her.

The club’s motto is “for all faces with all paces” to emphasize that everyone is welcome. The group currently has about 730 members on the Facebook page, with a core group of around 30 people, Myers said.

Fleet Feet Run Club in Round Rock: Mark King opened Fleet Feet in Round Rock in 2013 and opted to host a run club at the location. Neal Amador joined a Fleet Feet run club in 2015 and in early 2016 he took over as director, with a focus on mentoring and coaching fellow runners.
