The city of Frisco is moving forward with discussion on updated plans for a new animal shelter.
What to know: Through a public-private partnership with Wiggle Butt Academy, the city of Frisco is seeking to build a new animal facility. At a Sept. 1 board workshop, Frisco City Council discussed updates to the proposed facility's design and operating plans.
Currently, animals picked up by Frisco Animal Services are transported to the Collin County Animal Shelter in McKinney, which is undergoing $5.7 million in renovations.
