Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Therapy relocation in Keller earns approval on 2nd try

Baylor Scott & White’s request to relocate its outpatient therapy office in Keller was approved during the May 19 city council meeting.

The approval comes more than a month after the first request failed due to a 3-3 tie at the April 7 meeting, according to previous reporting.

The plan presented to council, in the form of a specific use permit, was to move the outpatient therapy office to the former Petco location inside Keller Town Center.

The details: The vote passed 6-0 with Chris Whatley, Karen Brennan, Shannon Dubberly, Greg Will, new council member Charles Randklev and Mayor Ross McMullin voting in favor.

Dubberly, McMullin and Will voted against the permit request on April 7, according to previous reporting.

Keller Planning & Zoning approved the request, 5-1, at an April 28 meeting.

A closer look: The primary services will include physical therapy examinations and individualized treatment, therapeutic exercise, functional training, return-to-sport programs, performance-based rehabilitation, injury-prevention education, patient consultations and follow-up visits, according to city documents.
