The cities of Northeast San Antonio offer options for residents who want to dispose of their Christmas trees after the holiday season.

What you need to know: In Schertz, Frontier Waste Solutions will collect trees set outside by the curb on scheduled brush and bulk pickup days. According to Fire Prevention Specialist Jacob Amerson, trees must follow Frontier’s brush and bulk guidelines.

Cibolo residents may place their trees at the curb alongside regular bulk and brush items for pickup by Waste Connections on regularly scheduled collection days. According to the city, service scheduled for Jan. 1 will take place Jan. 2, and Jan. 2 service will take place on Jan. 3.

Trees in Universal City can be dropped off in a bin at the Public Works Yard at 265 Kitty Hawk Road through Jan. 9. The city will not accept trees with lights or decorations still on them, City Manager Kim Turner said.
