Richardson City Council approves $700,000 for Sherrill Park Golf Course renovation

Richardson City Council approved close to $700,000 for renovations at Sherrill Park Golf Course at its April 27 meeting.

The details: According to city documents, the approved funds are for preconstruction work ahead of building a new training center at the golf course.

Richardson announced the construction of the new training center in February 2025, which is set to include two hitting bays to allow lessons to be conducted in all weather. The center will also house a specialized fitting facility in partnership with golf equipment company Titleist, its first fitting center in North Texas.

The details: The clinic provides services for pets in emergency cases, including trauma, trouble breathing or collapse, as well as overnight nursing care, advanced surgeries, endoscopies and ultrasounds.

“Most families have been burdened with a pet emergency and the cost associated with the care,” owner Tiffany Green said in an email. “We are trying to be the opposite, provide excellent service and care at more affordable pricing.”
