Roanoke City Council approves agreements with Denton County Sheriff’s Office, Trophy Club

Contracts between the city of Roanoke, the Denton County Sheriff’s Office and the town of Trophy Club were approved at Roanoke's July 14 meeting.

In addition, an easement was approved with the Trinity River Authority.

Radio communication contract: Roanoke officials approved a consolidated radio communication contract for use of the police and fire emergency radio systems that are operated and maintained by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

The contract is for $11,952 and will cover 76 radios for the Roanoke Police Department and 90 radios for the Roanoke Fire Department.

Interlocal agreement: Roanoke and town of Trophy Club will begin a shared emergency management coordinator service starting Oct. 1.

Roanoke will provide qualified emergency management coordination services to both jurisdictions, including emergency operations planning, training, exercises, hazard assessments, grant support, interagency coordination and emergency response support, according to city documents.

Easement: The Trinity River Authority of Texas will acquire a 0.02-acre meter station easement, a 0.28-acre permanent sanitary sewer easement and a 0.51-acre temporary construction easement for $16,507.

New Jersey Mikes to open in Alliance area of Fort Worth

Jersey Mike's Subs will be opening a new location in the Alliance are of Fort Worth.

The details: According to the TDLR filing, Jersey Mike's will spend $550,000 to outfit a suite in the newly built shopping center, which will also house a Whataburger and a Mi ChanTe Mexican Cuisine restaurant, according to previous reporting.

Construction is expected to begin in mid-August and finish by Sept. 21.

The Jersey Mike's will be between two currently unoccupied suites, with Whataburger and Mi ChanTe Mexican Cuisine located on the ends of the shopping center, according to site plans with Segovia Partners, the commercial real estate firm behind the shopping center.

American to open new check-in experience, 2 Admirals Club lounges

Fort Worth-based American Airlines plans to open its largest Admirals Club lounge within Terminal C at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, according to a news release.

"We're investing in every stage of the premium travel journey at DFW, beginning the moment customers arrive at the airport," American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden said in the news release.

New Terminal C Admirals Club
The new Admirals Club in Terminal C, which will be located near the terminal’s Skylink station, will be 37,000 square feet, per the news release.

The space will include a variety of seating options and workspaces.

Provisions by Admirals Club

The Provisions by Admirals Club will be a new grab-and-go kiosk option for travelers within Terminal F. The new terminal’s initial phase will include a 400,000-square-foot building and 15 gates, according to previous reporting.

Flagship check-in

A new check-in experience will open later this year near Gate D30. Eligible customers will be able to take advantage of the dedicated check-in area for flights.
