Duett’s Texas Club, a popular dining and live music spot in Martindale, officially closed its doors on March 28. After almost six months, the business will reopen under new ownership.
What happened: Mike and Vanessa Lain Torres, the team behind the catering brand Gold Epicure, acquired Duett's Texas Club. The duo has worked in the hospitality and event industry for over a decade.
Mike Torres was the original chef at Duett's Texas Club and will continue the legacy and vision of founders Ryan and Katie Grametbaur, according to the business’s website.
The details: The new business model under the ownership of the Torres family will offer weekly Wednesday public meal service and private events, music, weddings and Gold Epicure's catering operations.
Antonio Bond, floral artist at Transplants Floral, will lead the business’s creative redesign. Guests can additionally expect the launch of Duett's Texas Club’s first culinary products for purchase, including steak sauce, dry rub and merchandise.
