JETSET Pilates announces new location in Vintage Park

Officials with JETSET Pilates confirmed the business will be opening a new location in Vintage Park in the fall. 

The details: JETSET Pilates specializes in providing full-service studios for all levels and intensities of pilates workouts. The studio also provides private and group 50-minute lessons with choreographed strength training and cardio workouts to music.

Performing arts foundation Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. celebrates 30 years in Spring

Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment celebrates its 30th concert season and anniversary with the 2026-27 season, Executive Director Bob Schefferine said.


The details: Season tickets for F.A.C.E.'s 2026-27 concert series are on sale now and individual tickets go on sale Aug. 1, per the website. Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. hosts three different concert series with a variety of performances throughout the season:

  • Star-Lit! (hosted at 7:30 p.m. each Saturday of the month)

  • Promenade (hosted at 2 p.m. on second Tuesday of each month)

  • Children's (hosted 11 a.m. each Saturday of the month)

Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. was founded in 1997 with a goal of making performing arts experiences accessible to communities in Northwest Houston, per the website. Outside of their concert series, Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. holds their Summer Strings Camps, scholarships to support local students pursuing the arts, and other community outreach, Schefferine said.

Chick-fil-A opens new location at The Grand at 249

Chick-fil-A Grand Parkway at Tomball Parkway opened June 25, according to a June 23 news release. 

The details: The new restaurant is locally owned and operated by Cindy Smith, who began working with Chick-fil-A in high school and has been with the brand for more than a decade, according to the news release.

The restaurant serves Chick-fil-A’s menu of chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, breakfast items and more. The location offers dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and mobile thru service.

Texas lawmakers consider data center water use and resource impacts

State lawmakers are considering water use impacts tied to the spread of new data center developments across Texas, and recently heard input from industry representatives and residents as they plan for next year's legislative session.

The initial review may preview proposed state laws regarding data centers and their local impacts. Ahead of the hearing, Gov. Greg Abbott also stated his "bottom line" expectations for data centers going forward: providing their own power, reusing water and reducing electricity costs for their neighbors.

Testimony from regulators revealed that Texas lacks accurate information about the water use of most data centers now operating statewide, despite mandates to submit those details. Representatives suggested data centers' self-reporting on utility use could be one topic to address next year. Many impacted residents and elected officials also raised concerns with public notice and local regulatory authority in relation to the high-profile developments.
