Casino Night, Fiestas Patrias: 10 events to attend in Cypress this summer

From Casino Night to Fiestas Patrias there are several events to attend in the Cypress area this summer. 

Cy-Fair Ten Pin Challenge: Bowlers are invited to the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce's annual pin challenge. Each team will receive three bowling games, shoe rentals and meal tickets.

​​Retail Therapy celebrates 20 years serving Cypress

Retail Therapy owner Kimberly Smith said the resale shop celebrated 20 years serving Cypress on Aug. 1.

Aside from its resale services, the shop donates clothing to a local women's shelter as previously reported by Community Impact.

What they offer: The boutique features brands ranging from Free People to Michael Kors and with prices starting at $9.99.

Organized by category including children's uniforms, shoes, hand bags, women's clothing and formal attire, Retail Therapy provides a curated shopping experience.

Texas A&M partners with Buc-ee's to launch joint merchandise

Texas A&M has partnered with gas station and convenience store Buc-ee’s to launch co-branded merchandise to be available on campus and at select Buc-ee’s locations.

The gist: The university was the first institution in the country to partner with Buc-ee’s in March, with some of the store’s products sold on campus. Buc-ee’s founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, who is also a graduate of the university, said the partnership is a way to celebrate both brands.

According to a news release from the university, the launch of the merchandise partnership will include a shirt featuring Buc-ee the beaver and Texas A&M iconography. According to the news release, the shirt will also be sold at the Barnes & Noble on the university’s campus.

What’s next: The co-branded material will be available at Buc-ee's locations in Central Texas and the greater Dallas and Houston areas. The university said future product releases are planned throughout the upcoming school year, which coincides with Texas A&M's 150th anniversary celebration.

New Hobby Airport parking facility offers $5 daily rates

Travelers flying through Houston's William P. Hobby Airport now have a new off-airport parking option with the opening of Hobby Airport Parking on July 13, according to a news release from Paquin Public Relations.

What you need to know: Located 2.5 miles from the airport, the new facility offers uncovered and covered parking, along with complimentary shuttle service, according to the release.
