Mavis Tire renovation approved by Grapevine City Council

Grapevine City council has approved a conditional use permit for Mavis Tire to start renovations on the acquired NTB Tire and Service Center property.

The details: During a joint meeting with the Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission on June 16, Grapevine City Council unanimously approved the conditional use permit request for Mavis Tire to begin renovations.

Mavis Tire acquired NTB Tire and Service Center in 2023, and the business is now fully owned and operated by Mavis Tire. Chris Squires, a representative for Mavis Tire, said that Mavis Tire has been updating previous NTB Tire and Service Center properties starting this year.

“We purchased NTB a couple years ago,” Squires said. “Now we’re just bringing our full brand here.”

Quote of note: Council member Duff O’Dell believes that the updated look for the property will be an improvement.

“Well, it's not always easy to make a tire place look pretty,” O’Dell said. “But you managed to do it.”
