Indoor children’s playground set to open in Richardson’s Lockwood Neighborhood

An indoor children’s playground is on track to open in the Lockwood Neighborhood after Richardson City Council unanimously approved a special permit on March 23.

The details: Kid-N-Play plans to open in a multi-tenant building at 506 Lockwood Drive, between Lockwood Distilling Company and Lizzie Bee's Flower Shoppe. The indoor playground is designed for children aged 0-5, and will also provide comfortable spaces for parents and caregivers. Kid-N-Play would be the only indoor play area in Richardson, owner Tiffany Long said.

Quote of note: “Our mission is to create a safe, clean and engaging environment where young children can build confidence through play, while parents have a comfortable place to connect, relax or send a few emails for work,” Long said.

Crunch’d Wings to serve chicken, burgers in Richardson

Crunch’d Wings is coming soon to Richardson.

The details: The restaurant will be run by Dallas halal spot Fry Daddys with a menu that includes chicken wings, burgers, fries and more. The restaurant is expected to open in April or May, according to a social media post.

Richardson Chamber of Commerce president to step down in May

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Julie Snyder, announced that she will resign from her position in May, according to a March 24 news release from the chamber.

The details: Snyder began serving as the chamber’s president and CEO in February 2025. Her resignation will be effective May 29. According to the release, the chamber has begun planning for the leadership transition, with additional information to come.
