Late-night dessert spot Midnight Cravingz plans to start dishing up specialty ice cream in Cypress come October, officials confirmed.

The gist : Per the menu, Midnight Cravingz's ice cream options include, but are not limited to:

• The Classic: chocolate chip cookie and vanilla soft serve

• Dark Knight: double chocolate cookie, vanilla soft serve, topped with Nutella, Oreo and chocolate syrup

• Churro: sugar cookie, vanilla soft serve and cinnamon sugar churro cream

According to the website, Midnight Cravingz locations are open Tuesday through Thursday from 6 p.m.-1 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m.-2 a.m. and Sunday from 6 p.m.-midnight.

Over 100,000 students have enrolled at Lone Star College System for the fall semester, marking a milestone for the college system, according to a Sept. 14 news release.

A new chapter: For the fall semester of the 2026-27 school year, 100,023 students are enrolled to take courses at LSCS, according to the release.

LSCS's current enrollment represents an increase of 2.8% compared to the fall enrollment for 2025, which was 97,294, according to the college system's website. Enrollment has grown 17.45% compared to the fall of 2022.

The Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 board of commissioners will hold a special meeting on Sept. 15 to discuss construction matters for the upcoming Station 17 project. Harris County ESD 9 is a political subdivision and taxing entity that supports fire suppression and emergency medical service operations for the Cy-Fair Fire Department.

What you need to know: During the meeting, the board will meet with Durotech and Martinez Architects to discuss bid numbers and proposals. Martinez Architects previously presented a schedule for the design activities of Station 17, which is one of eight planned fire stations intended to fill coverage gaps throughout the district:

• August: receive bids from Durotech

• September: issue Guaranteed Maximum Price for board approval

• November: Notice to Proceed
