Kawaii Kollections will be opening a second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The store sells stuffed animals, clothing, phone cases, nails, and accessories. According to its social media page, characters sold include Kuromi, Labubu, Naruto, Pokémon and Cinnamoroll.

2.Play Street Museum
Play Street Museum Southlake is now open in the Southlake Marketplace shopping center.

The business offers an indoor play area that has self-directed play, stimulates children’s imaginations, encourages them to problem solve and allows them to refine their social skills, according to the company website. The facility is for children ages 1-8 years old.

Roma's Italian Bistro offers New York-style pizza, pasta in Grapevine

Roma’s Italian Bistro is now serving pizza, sub sandwiches and pasta inside Stacy Furniture & Design in Grapevine. 

The restaurant is family owned and serves a full Italian menu made from scratch, owner Romeo Manellari said. 

The Bistro’s New York style pizza includes Hawaiian, barbecue and Margherita. Dishes also include minestrone soup, salads, calzones, seafood and garlic bread, per its website

Manellari opened his first location in Grand Prairie in 2015, he said. This is his second store.

Academy of Aesthetics and Laser offers medical aesthetics training in Flower Mound

Academy of Aesthetics & Laser relocated to Flower Mound to teach classes on how to help people manage skin concerns, Co-owner Jennifer Buck said. 

The details: The aesthetics school will offer 750-hour classes that last seven to eight months, Buck said. The class sizes are generally 12 students, she said. 

Currently, the school offers hydrafacial training and microneedling training with other training programs coming soon, Buck said. 

Zooming in: The new location will be twice the size of the Argyle location, allowing Buck to include more classes, such as laser training, which includes laser hair reduction and any laser treatments performed in a med-spa, lash-lifting and brow tinting. 

Students will have the opportunity to perform 30-minute or 60-minute facials, which are given to customers at a discounted rate, Buck said. 

One more thing: Buck owns the school with her husband, Jason Buck, who is a Flower Mound Police officer.

Gierisch Brothers Motor Company celebrates 60th anniversary in Roanoke

Gierisch Brothers Motor Company celebrated its 60th anniversary Jan. 3.

The details: The family-owned business provides services on air conditioning, brakes, electrical systems, engine repair, oil changes, radiators, suspension, tire inspection, transmission service, tune-ups and wheel alignment, according to its website.

The background:  Brothers Carl and Dorman Gierisch opened a three-bay metal shop for vehicle repairs west of SH 114, according to a social media post.

The brothers opened Roanoke Auto Supply in 1973 to add auto parts to the repair shop. Carl Gierisch took over as the sole owner in 1975, buying out his brother's interest. In 2000, he added his three sons to the partnership.
