Richland Park Drive construction project to start in November

Construction on Richland Park Drive is set to start next month.

The project spanning from Wentworth Drive to Sheffield Drive will cost $2.55 million. Richardson City Council approved a contract for the work during its Oct. 20 meeting.

The specifics: The project will include concrete panel replacement and sewer replacement on the section of Richland Park Drive from Stillmeadow Drive to Tiffany Trail. Pavement, waterline and sewer lines will be replaced on the roadway from Sheffield Drive to Tiffany Trail and Stillmeadow Drive to Wentworth Drive.

The Dream Cafe to add patio space, outdoor seating in Richardson

The Dream Cafe will soon expand to include an outdoor porch and patio at its Lockwood location.

According to owner Christine Lott, the planned expansion will add a wrap-around deck with more seating options and a two-sided bar to the existing dining space. The renovations are expected to be completed by December, Lott said.

What they offer: The Dream Cafe offers comfort food, with menu items like biscuits and gravy, sandwiches and eggs Benedict. Also on the menu are a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options. The cafe is open every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends.

Legacy Hall serves breakfast for first time in Plano

Select eateries in Plano’s Legacy Hall started serving breakfast in October. This is the first time Legacy Hall has been open for breakfast, according to a company news release.

Three eateries offer a variety of breakfast items, from 8-10 a.m. Monday through Friday, including:

  • Bondi Bowls: smoothies, matcha and açaí bowls
  • Whisk Crêpes Café: sweet and savory crêpes and coffee
  • Dry Rub: hearty breakfast burritos and tacos
