Early voting for the Nov. 4 election begins Oct. 20. Here’s what to know ahead of the Nov. 4 election.

Voters across Flower Mound, Highland Village and Argyle will cast ballots in a sales tax election, the Lewisville ISD board of trustees and a voter-approval tax rate election for Denton ISD.

The details: For the Nov. 4 election, there are a few dates to know, including:

• Oct. 20: Early voting begins
• Oct. 24: Last day to apply to vote by mail (received, not postmarked)
• Oct. 31: Final day of early voting
• Nov. 4: Election Day and the last day to receive ballot by mail (or Nov. 5 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at location of election)

Coming soon: A new Dutch Bros is expected to open soon in Flower Mound, according to a company press release.

The details: The business serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, an exclusive Dutch Bros Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.

Dutch Bros has several locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The existing Flower Mound location at 1501 Justin Road opened in Dec. 2022.

Daytrip Diner
The former owners of Morning Edition Cafe in Flower Mound have opened Daytrip Diner in Grapevine, moving into the former location of Waffle Way. Daytrip Diner is open daily from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and its menu features breakfast and lunch items.

Stonebridge Diner
The restaurant was opened by the owners behind Brothers Pizza, which closed in July after serving McKinney for more than 20 years. Stonebridge Diner serves a variety of breakfast dishes including omelets, pancakes and crepes.

New flights and destinations from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport started in early October from EVA Air and Frontier Airlines. In addition, construction projects that are part of DFW Forward continue. Check out this list of four updates from the airport.

1. EVA Air holds a ceremony for inaugural flight: EVA Air held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 3 with dignitaries from the airline, the airport and the city of Fort Worth for a new flight between Dallas and Taiwan.

2. Roadwork continues at DFW Airport: Crews from Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating Inc. have started to pave portions of the East West Connector project. The 1.65-mile roadway will extend Rental Car Drive from International Parkway to SH 360.
