Voters in The Woodlands area will have several primary races to participate in for the March 3 elections. Here's a look at dates to know and a selection of local elections with primaries this year. This list is not comprehensive.

Dates to know
Feb. 17: First day of early voting
Feb. 20: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)
Feb. 27: Last day of early voting
March 3: Election day and the last day for counties to receive completed mail-in ballots (or 5 p.m. March 4 if the carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. on election day)

What you need to know: Registered voters may cast ballots in either Texas’ Republican or Democratic primary, but not both. Third-party candidates will appear on the ballot in November.

Le Labo opened at Market Street in The Woodlands in January, officials confirmed.

PREVIEW: Tomball ISD looks to approve 2027-28 academic calendar

Tomball ISD trustees will discuss and consider approving the upcoming academic calendar for the 2027-28 school year, as well as other institutional reports, at its workshop and regular meetings Feb. 9 and Feb. 10.

Items worth mentioning: At the Feb. 9 workshop meeting, Director of Administrative Services Karen Graves will present the proposed 2027-28 academic calendar to the board. The district’s 2026-27 academic calendar was approved last March, as previously reported by Community Impact.

What else: Other items on the meeting's agenda include TISD’s annual performance report, which will be presented by Assistant Superintendent of Accountability Mark White. Chief Financial Officer Zach Boles will be presenting the district’s annual fund balance report and design schematics for the Tomball Intermediate School replacement facility, the latter of which is one of TISD’s 2025 bond projects.
