Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton earned an accreditation recognizing its work in robotic surgery.

The details: Texas Health Denton was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation, which is a national organization that accredits surgical facilities worldwide, according to a news release.

The Center of Excellence is awarded to healthcare organizations that practice high standards of patient care, clinical outcomes, safety processes and overall improvement during and after robotic surgeries.

According to the news release, Texas Health Denton’s robotic surgery program includes multiple procedures, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder and appendix removal and surgical treatment of the upper digestive tract for conditions such as acid reflux.

What's happening? Chicken Salad Chick will have a brick-and-mortar storefront in Denton in the Rayzor Ranch shopping center.

Construction on the fast-casual chicken salad restaurant is expected to begin Sept. 15 and conclude Nov. 1. The current 2,686-square-foot space will undergo $275,000 in interior renovations, according to the filing. There will be no renovations to the exterior.

The filing states the location was previously permitted to be a Salata in June 2024.

Chicken Salad Chick serves from-scratch chicken salad options, pimento cheese, soups, salads and sandwiches, according to its website. The chicken salad is made fresh every morning with chicken tenderloin and fresh ingredients.
