Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton earned an accreditation recognizing its work in robotic surgery.
The details: Texas Health Denton was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation, which is a national organization that accredits surgical facilities worldwide, according to a news release.
The Center of Excellence is awarded to healthcare organizations that practice high standards of patient care, clinical outcomes, safety processes and overall improvement during and after robotic surgeries.
According to the news release, Texas Health Denton’s robotic surgery program includes multiple procedures, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder and appendix removal and surgical treatment of the upper digestive tract for conditions such as acid reflux.
