Q&A: Meet the Republican primary candidates for Kendall County Commissioners Court, Precinct 4

Two candidates are running for the Kendall County Precinct 4 commissioner seat in the Republican primary election.

The details: Brett D’Spain is running against incumbent Chad Carpenter, and the winner will move forward to the November ballot.

Since no Democratic candidate ran for a place on the Precinct 4 ballot, the winner of the Republican primary will run uncontested in November, effectively being the next commissioner for the seat.

Candidates were asked to keep their responses under 50 words, answer the provided questions, and avoid attacking their opponents. Answers may have been minimally edited or cut to adhere to those guidelines, or for style and clarity.
