Luna Loco now open, offers Mexican favorites in Keller

Luna Loco, a new Mexican restaurant, is open in Keller.

The restaurant held a soft opening Aug. 21 before announcing it was officially open Aug. 27, according to its Facebook page.

On the menu: The restaurant serves Mexican favorites, such as tostadas, enchiladas, street tacos and burritos. There are Taco Tuesday specials on tacos and margaritas, according to its website.

There is also a signature drink menu featuring the Lucha Libre Margarita, an espresso martini and Fanta creamsicle. Modelo Especial, Dos Equis, Estrella Jalisco, Michelob Ultra and Miller Lite beers are on tap.

1. Fit-out for Terminal C renovations at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

The Dallas Fort Worth airport’s Terminal C will receive interior fitout renovations for baggage claim, a security check point, concessions white boxes, offices, restroom, break rooms, back-of-house renovations, ready rooms and gate hold lounges per a TDLR filing. The renovations are part of a larger project estimated to be finished in 2030, per previous reporting.

  • Estimated cost: $100 million

2. Cottonbelt Trail construction in Plano

3.16 miles of a hike-and-bike trail are planned from north of the President George Bush Turnpike to Shiloh Road, per a TDLR filing. The trail is part of a larger project to connect Plano to downtown Fort Worth, per previous reporting. Construction for a portion of the trail to connect Addison to Plano started in spring 2025.

Q&A: Get to know the candidates running for Texas agriculture commissioner

Three candidates are running to lead the Texas Department of Agriculture in the Nov. 3 election.

The details: Libertarian Austin R. Kelly, Republican Nate Sheets and Democrat Clayton Tucker are vying to become Texas' next commissioner of agriculture. The commissioner's duties include regulating agriculture, administering nutrition programs and providing rural economic development assistance.

How we got here: There is no incumbent in this race after Sheets beat sitting Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller in the March Republican primary. Tucker ran uncontested in the March Democratic primary, while Kelly was selected as the Texas Libertarian Party's candidate during an April nominating convention.

The winner of the November midterm will be sworn in to succeed Miller in January.

Looking ahead: Early voting runs from Oct. 19-30 in the midterm election, and Election Day is Nov. 3.
