Frisco looks to invest $500,000 into Rail District businesses

Frisco Rail District businesses could receive advertising money from the city as downtown continues to be redeveloped.

The details: The Frisco Community Development Corporation has allocated $500,000 to support these businesses.

City Council and staff discussed how to use the funds at an Oct. 7 work session.

No action was taken by the council, but members directed city staff to continue pursuing the proposal to help businesses with advertising dollars.

Flower Child set to offer salads, wraps in Frisco

Flower Child is set to open in January in Frisco, a company representative said.

What they will offer: The menu features a variety of salads, including:

  • Korean bbq beef bulgogi
  • Turkey and avocado cobb
  • Avocado Ceasar
  • Ginger miso crunch

Wrap options include Carolina bbq chicken, flying avocado, black bean falafel and the rebel french dip.

Planned restaurant, other retail at SH 121, Rasor Boulevard OK’d by Plano commission

Plano residents could see a new car wash, convenience store and restaurant coming to the intersection of SH 121 and Rasor Boulevard.

The details: According to the site plan, the convenience store will have five gas pumps and the restaurant will include a drive-thru.
