See where pickleball facilities are located or coming soon in The Woodlands area

Several places in The Woodlands area offer pickleball, including parks in The Woodlands as well as private facilities. Here is a look at some that are open as well as one opening soon. This listing is not comprehensive, and details are subject to change.

Era Pickleball: The indoor pickleball facility focuses on delivering high-quality play, well-run tournaments, leagues and community-driven programming for players of all skill levels.

The Woodlands Township: New pickleball courts opened at Creekwood and Windvale parks in early July. Creekwood Park now features five dedicated pickleball courts, while Windvale Park offers six new courts. The new pickleball courts join the original eight courts at Falconwing Park, bringing the total number of dedicated courts across the community to 19, according to information from the township.

Home sale trends in The Woodlands area: Higher prices, more days on market

Fewer homes were sold in five out of the eight ZIP codes in The Woodlands area tracked by Community Impact in December 2025 compared to December 2024, according to Christine Hale Realty Group. More homes were sold in three ZIP codes. 


What's changed: Homes were sold for higher prices in December 2025 than in December 2024 in five ZIP codes, according to data. Among the three ZIP codes where home prices were lower, the median price dropped by the most in the 77389 ZIP code, by about 46% from $848,000 to $454,000.

Also of note: The largest share of homes sold in December, 147 homes, was in the 200,000-$399,999 range, similar to previous months, and 96 homes were sold in the $400,000-$599,999 range, the second-most popular price range.

Q&A: Meet the Democratic primary candidates running for Harris County judge

Three Democratic candidates are vying for the position of Harris County judge in the March primaries.

The big picture: Harris County voters will be able to cast their ballots in the Democratic primary in March for former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, former Houston City Council member Letitia Plummer or local entrepreneur Matt Salazar.

Zooming out: Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo formally announced in September she will not seek re-election for a third term as judge of Texas’ largest county. Hidalgo has served as county judge since 2019 and was re-elected after winning the county seat during the November 2022 general election. Her current four-year term ends Dec. 31, 2026.

What residents should know: Early voting runs from Feb. 17-27. Election day is March 3.

Six Republican candidates are vying for the position of Harris County judge.

The six candidates filed to run for a seat that had been occupied by a Republican until Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo defeated incumbent Republican Ed Emmett in 2018.

The setup: The candidates are Patrick “Marty” Lancton, president of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association; former Houston City Council member Orlando Sanchez; Air Force veteran Warren Howell; Piney Point Village Mayor Aliza Dutt; retired member of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Oscar Gonzalez; and Spring Branch business owner and resident George Harry Zoes.

Lankford's launches soft opening in The Woodlands, full opening planned Jan. 31

Lankford's is officially opening a new location at 24 Waterway Ave., Ste. 160, The Woodlands, this weekend.

The new restaurant features a 12-tap self-serve beer wall, a dedicated milkshake bar with kid and adult options, and expanded beverage offerings like handcrafted cocktails and curated wine selections.
