Comal County launches new website with upgraded design

Comal County rolled out a redesigned official website Nov. 18, introducing a refreshed layout, improved navigation and clearer access to county services, according to a news release.

The details: The new site replaces the county’s previous web address and lists all departments under one verified government domain. The update aims to make it easier for residents, businesses and visitors to find information, pay taxes, access court and meeting details, review election information and submit service requests, according to the release.

The switch to a .gov domain also adds a layer of security. Only verified government entities can use the extension, which county leaders say helps prevent confusion with unofficial or lookalike websites, according to the release.

Notable quote: Comal County IT Director Lana Spiess said they are excited to offer residents a new design in a "safe and secure environment."

“This new .gov website represents our commitment to transparency, accessibility and public trust,” Spiess said in the release.
