Plano’s Planning and Zoning Commission reapproved a revised site plan for Bob Woodruff Park renovations at a meeting Aug. 3.

The gist: A revised site plan for renovations at Bob Woodruff Park was reapproved to start its second phase of construction.

Looking ahead: Some of Bob Woodruff Park’s trails have also been partially closed until September for new light replacements at the park pond, per previous reporting. The park’s playground and parking area is expected to reopen February 2027.

A new claw machine arcade has opened along Coit Road in Plano.

The Plaza at Spring Creek: Shopping center The Plaza at Spring Creek will start complete construction in early December 2027, according to TDLR documents. The development will feature two parking decks, 11 retail buildings and two community green spaces.

Repair work on a broken water main at the corner of Belt Line Road and Plano Road in Richardson is planned for Aug. 5-8, according to a news release from the city.

What you need to know: The original break in the middle of the intersection occurred “about two weeks ago,” the release states, and the line was isolated and shut off.

Drivers will see the following traffic impacts:

• No right turn on southbound Plano, and one through lane open

• One left-turn lane instead of two open on northbound Plano and eastbound Belt Line

• One through lane and one right-turn lane open on westbound Belt Line
