TBK- The Bees Knees aims to give customers confidence when shopping

TBK- The Bees Knees owner Aimee Buckert seeks to make shopping a joyful experience for customers, she said.

“I want [customers] to know that if you need an outfit, you're going to find something here," Buckert said. “You're also going to find confidence and somebody who wants to help you be the very best that you can be.”

The shop has a booth at Painted Tree in Highland Village and a store in Argyle, Buckert said.

Also of note: The Bees Knees has a small selection of accessories for Mahjong, a Chinese tile-based game. Buckert can curate tiles and a mat based on the customer's preferences.

“With my space being limited, my idea was to curate collections for people as opposed to having a huge selection of grab and go items,” Buckert said.

Landmark breaks ground in Denton, model homes coming soon

What happened: Hillwood held a groundbreaking ceremony for master-planned community Landmark in Denton Nov. 13.

A closer look: The master planned community will feature homes from nine builders, trails, park space, on-site schools and retail space, including Denton’s first H-E-B.

“We are very excited about what this community is going to be,” Founder of Hillwood Ross Perot Jr. said. “...It will be the best community in this part of the United States. It will be the best product we’ve done and one that we can be extraordinarily proud of.”

The community is anchored by Pilot Knob, a 900-foot-high hill that was once the highest point in North Texas, per the Texas State Historical Association. Construction is already underway on H-E-B and Hillwood officials said model homes are slated to open in spring 2026.
