Local Tex-Mex chain to add 6th area location in North San Antonio

A local Tex-Mex chain is expanding its presence in San Antonio with a new location.

What you need to know: Taqueria Datapoint has plans to open a new location at 25211 N. Hwy. 281. The restaurant will be in the same shopping center as PJ’s Coffee, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.

The new location will need about “three more months” until it is ready to open to the public, owner Francisco Lopez told Community Impact.

What they offer: Taqueria Datapoint serves an eclectic mix of Tex-Mex options, from classic birria tacos to parrilladas. The restaurant also serves all-day breakfast tacos and offers catering, according to its website.

Medical cannabis supplier expands across Texas with first location in San Antonio

One of Texas’s largest suppliers of medical-grade cannabis has announced a statewide expansion, including a new satellite location in San Antonio.

In case you missed it: Texas Original announced the opening of a new location at 1464 Austin Hwy., just north of Alamo Heights, according to a news release.

This new spot is known as a “satellite” location, according to the release.

“Satellite locations, authorized under House Bill 46, allow licensed medical marijuana providers to operate Department of Public Safety‑approved locations where medicine can be securely stored onsite,” the release states.

House Bill 46 also includes the Compassionate Use Program, which first allowed THC products to be sold for medical purposes only, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

What’s special about it? Texas Original sells products to patients with verified medical prescriptions, according to their website.

I-35 NEX Central: The 9.5-mile project creates three elevated lanes, comprising two main lanes and one high-occupancy vehicle, or HOV, lane, for both northbound and southbound directions. The elevated lanes will provide direct connections to Loop 410 North and Loop 1604 West.
