Plano road construction to cause lane closures at Plano Parkway, Coit Road

An ongoing sewer improvement project in Plano will bring lane closures through mid-December, according to a city social media post.

What you need to know: Closures at the intersection of Plano Parkway and Coit Road will start Dec. 3 and continue through Dec. 19, according to a city social media post. 

One more thing: The closures are part of an ongoing $16.1 million sewer improvement project on Plano Parkway to increase sewer capacity for current and future development in the area, according to the city’s website. Construction on the project began in July and is expected to wrap up in spring 2027, according to the city’s website.

Planet Fitness to open in west Plano in December

Planet Fitness is set to open a new location in west Plano, a company representative confirmed.

The details: The new location is expected to open Dec. 21, the representative said. The new fitness center will move into vacant retail space formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond, near the intersection of Plano Parkway and Park Boulevard.
