The median price of a home in Plano in July 2026 was $515,000, down from $530,000 in July 2025. The number homes sold in Plano in July was 228, while 352 homes were listed on the market.

1. Sherman Street, Lingco Drive reconstruction
Project: Crews in Richardson are reconstructing Sherman Street from Kaufman Street to Lingco Drive, and Lingco Drive from Sherman Street to Spring Valley Road.
Update: Pavement installation on Sherman Street is now complete. Concrete replacement is underway on the south half of Lingco Drive.

  • Cost: $6.56 million

2. Allen 2026 Street and Alley Rehabilitation project
Project: The project consists of reconstruction of existing deteriorated street and alley pavement identified in a citywide pavement condition assessment survey completed in 2022.
Update: The contractor is working on completing pavement repairs at Heritage Parkway and Alma Drive.
  • Timeline: Construction expected to be complete in March 2027
  • Cost: $4.87 million
  • Funding source: city of Allen

Cookie Society to offer gourmet cookies, desserts in Richardson

Dessert shop Cookie Society is coming soon to Richardson, owner Jeff Allen confirmed in an email.

The details: Allen said the new location will “offer the full Cookie Society experience,” including the shop’s freshly-baked classic cookies, monthly rotating flavors and other dessert favorites like brownies and oatmeal cream pies.

“We’re especially excited about this location because it gives us an opportunity to serve the Richardson community, UTD students and staff and the surrounding neighborhoods,” Allen said. “Cookie Society is a family business here in North Texas, so continuing to grow throughout DFW is always special for us.”
