Georgetown City Council members approved the creation and funding to support the Bluffview Public Improvement District at a May 12 meeting. The neighborhood project will bring 105 single-family homes and 181 multifamily units to southwest Georgetown.
Digging deeper: Located on 68 acres near Leander Road and Southwestern Bypass, the residential project will be developed in phases, starting with a roughly 29-acre portion dedicated to 105 single-family homes.
Future phases will include 181 multifamily units, according to city documents. Developer Lamy 2243, managed by Riverside Resources, is the leader for the project, documents state.
To support the new homes, the project includes building new streets, water and wastewater lines, and drainage systems. It will also feature recreational space including the Bluffview Trail, a shared-use path, trailhead parking, park benches and a natural area.
The city will issue $4.56 million in special revenue bonds for the first phase of improvements.
