Wilkinson’s Fine Goods will expand its store in 2026 to accommodate the store’s brands and goods and to give customers a more immersive experience, owner Clint Wilkinson said.
“We’re taking our time to do [the expansion] right—staying thoughtful about the details, the materials, and the overall feel,” he told Community Impact. “It’s important to us that when the doors fully open, it feels like a natural evolution of Wilkinson’s, not a departure from it.
What’s happening? Wilkinson said the store will remain in the same location and that the expansion will show that Wilkinson’s Fine Goods is more than a retail store.
The store is known for its western wear, such as clothes and boots for men and women, and its accessories, including jewelry, hats, leather goods and belt buckles.
The backstory: Wilkinson’s Fine Goods was founded in 1957 by Wilkinson’s grandfather, Weldon Burgoon, who was from Denton. The store originally was named Weldon’s Saddle Shop & Western Wear, according to the company website.
