A new restaurant offering a sweet or savory take on breakfast, lunch and dinner is now open in Round Rock.

The gist: The Crepe Lab opened in a space formerly home to Tulsi Fine Indian Cuisine, but remains under the same ownership.

What's on the menu: The Crepe Lab offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes, croissant-waffles, omelettes, and a diverse savory menu of pasta dishes and sandwiches. The restaurant also serves coffee beverages, matcha and gelato.
The menu is available for dine-in, takeout and delivery.

Round Rock City Council will consider an agreement for the city to continue treating water for the city of Georgetown at its March 26 meeting.

The gist: The cities of Round Rock and Georgetown entered into a water treatment and transmission agreement several years ago, with Round Rock treating up to 3 million gallons of raw water per day from Lake Georgetown because of the extra treatment capacity at Round Rock’s plant. Round Rock’s water treatment plant has the capacity to treat 52 million gallons per day.

With the agreement now expired, Georgetown asked Round Rock to renew the deal. According to city documents, Round Rock will have additional capacity to treat water based on future demand projections. Per the agreement, Georgetown will be charged a monthly base rate of $3,702 and volume rate of $2.21 per thousand gallons of water.

From a mixed-use project to a Target and more, here are five of the most expensive projects filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in the Austin metro this week.

1. Bell District Block B in Cedar Park: Boston-based General Investment and Development is building a 194-unit mixed-use project that will feature an outdoor pool courtyard.

2. Pathways at Santa Rita Courts East in Austin: The Housing Authority of the city of Austin will construct a four-story, multi-family building that totals 77 units and renovate 11 historic single-story buildings into 27 units.

3. Target in Dripping Springs: The Village at Dripping Springs will feature the area's first Target, totaling about 147,000 square feet.

4. Cigna Healthcare in Austin: The insurance provider will add a 40,100-square-foot office to its portfolio.

5. San Marcos Self Storage in San Marcos: Seven one-story self-storage buildings, totaling approximately 83,085 square feet, will be added.

The world's largest semiconductor plant could be coming to Austin after billionaire Elon Musk announced the project at a March 21 livestreamed event in downtown Austin.

Terafab—a joint venture between Tesla, SpaceX and xAI—would be "the largest chip manufacturing facility ever," producing a combined compute capacity of 1 terawatt annually, according to a post by Tesla on X.

The big picture: The advanced technology fab would enable Musk's companies to escalate their production efforts, he said. Musk said current global semiconductor production meets only a fraction of the energy and compute demands his companies anticipate.

The facility would generate 100-200 gigawatts of chips for Optimus humanoid robots along with terawatts of chips for solar-powered AI satellites, according to Tesla information.

A closer look: In a post on X, Musk said Terafab could be 100 million square feet. Several potential sites are under consideration for the facility, he said.

Tesla opened its new 10 million-square-foot headquarters—Giga Texas—in southeast Travis County in 2021.
