Ann Anderson won over Mark Piland in the race for Frisco City Council Place 1, according to unofficial election results.

The details: All Collin County and Denton County voting centers are reporting. Anderson received 4,052 votes, or 50.66% of the votes. Piland garnered 3,946 votes, which is a difference of 106 votes.

Collin County saw a 5.37% voter turnout while Denton County saw 6.92%.

What you need to know: The special election comes after seat holder John Keating announced he was running for mayor in the May election.
