Downtown Bryan deli announces closure for 'reorganization' amid economic pressures

Zeitman's Grocery Store in downtown Bryan announced it is now temporarily closed as owners reorganize the business during economic pressures.

What's happening: Owner Blake Zeitman announced in a March 24 Facebook video post that the deli and grocery store would close "in its current format" after Easter Sunday on April 5. He described the change as a restructuring rather than a permanent closure.

What's next: Zeitman said the business plans to transition toward offering catering services, grab-and-go options and possible future pop-up events. Since he owns the restaurant space, he noted a possible return to the deli and grocery store format in the future if economic conditions improve.

Before you go: In his announcement, Zeitman thanked customers for "four years of amazing memories" serving the Bryan community.
