Keller City Council denies Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Therapy relocation

Keller officials denied the relocation of Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Therapy services center in the city.

The motion failed to pass after a 3-3 vote, with Mayor Armin Mizani, council members Chris Whatley and Karen Brennan voting in support of the relocation and council members Shannon Dubberly, Ross McMullin and Greg Will voting against it at a regular council meeting April 7.

The details: The Keller area’s services center, currently located at 460 Keller Parkway, is seeking a larger space to meet the area’s patient demands per previous reporting.

Also of note: Keller officials approved new equipment for the Keller Fire Department that allows first responders to temporarily change traffic signal timing.

Tabla Indian Restaurant closes in north Fort Worth due to delinquent payment

Tabla Indian Restaurant is closed in north Fort Worth.

The details: A sign on the door, posted by SGQ North Tarrant, LLC, stated that the locks on the door were changed due to delinquent payment of rent and other charges owed by the tenant.

The restaurant’s Facebook page posted on Feb. 17 that the eatery would be unavailable for some time, though the post stated that Tabla would open again. It also stated to stay tuned for updates on the reopening.

Tabla offered a mix of Indian, Thai and Indo-Chinese cuisine. According to its website, Tabla featured menu items include garlic naan, tikka masala and Indo-Chinese fried rice. The menu also features garlic green chili naan, tandoori, soups, mocktails and desserts.

Zooming out: The eatery was located in the Shops at North Tarrant retail center. SRS Real Estate Partners is offering a 2,500-square-foot second-generation restaurant for lease for the Tabla location on its website.

Relax Spa now open, offers spa packages, massages in north Fort Worth

Relax Spa opened in the Alliance area of north Fort Worth at the end of March.

The details: The spa offers Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy and couples massages, as well as foot baths, facials, spa packages for one person and spa packages for two, according to its website.

One of the grand opening specials Renew Spa is offering is a Molten Reset spa package, according to a social media post. This package includes a one-hour relaxation, a Himalayan salt foot scrub, a 30-minute infrared sauna session and hot towel treatment.
