Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is selling its longtime building located at 2060 Couch Drive in McKinney, according to a July 8 news release.
The overview: The building currently houses the nonprofit’s administrative offices and ReStore facility, a store that sells new and gently used home furnishings, according to its website. Habitat for Humanity of Collin County, an affiliate of the global nonprofit housing organization, serves local families by providing opportunities for affordable homeownership.
Quote of note: The nonprofit will continue to operate without interruption during the transition and remains committed to ongoing projects and partnerships throughout the region, the news release states. CEO Stephannie Krunglevich said the building has been an “important part” of the organization’s history.
“By selling the Couch Drive property, we are creating an opportunity to invest in spaces that better fit our team, enhance accessibility for the families we serve, and allow us to expand our capacity as the need for affordable housing in our county continues to grow," Krunglevich said in a statement.
