Two candidates are running for Brazoria County commissioner Precinct 2 in the general election on Nov. 3.

The overview: Republican candidate Alfred Froberg will face Democratic candidate Carlos Townsend, Sr. for the seat. Froberg previously defeated the current seat holder, Ryan Cade, in the March primary.

The Pearland City Council is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at City Hall to consider parks and roadway improvements.

What you need to know: Council will consider an agreement with the Pearland Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) to provide funding for the following projects:

• Up to $22 million for improvements to the Sportsplex at Shadow Creek Ranch and Clear Creek trailhead

• Up to $1 million for the expansion of Broadway Street from Kirby Drive to Half Moon Bay Drive

Hoyer Global, a logistics and supply chain management company, is making upgrades and adding more office space to its current Nassau Bay location, according to a TDLR filing.

The details: The 22,000-square-foot space is owned by Mission Clear Lake GP, LLC, according to TDLR.

What else: The project will cost $195,000 with renovations expected to be completed by the end of 2026, according to TDLR.

A new agricultural complex is opening along Hwy. 288 with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The Farm will be located about three miles from Reliant Park.

The overview: The Farm, which stands for Furthering our Agriculture and Ranching Mission, will offer 1 million square feet to support Texas youth, agriculture, education and Western heritage, according to a Sept. 17 news release from Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The complex will complement the Rodeo's longstanding home at Reliant Park, according to the news release.

Two candidates are running for Harris County Treasurer in the upcoming election. The candidates on the ballot are Marc Cowart and incumbent Carla L. Wyatt.

Key details for voters include:

• Early voting begins Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 30.
• Election day is Nov. 3, with polls open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Registered voters are permitted to cast their ballot at any polling location during both early voting and on election day.
