Fujiya recently opened in Plano, a company representative said. The new restaurant is located across from Methodist Richardson Medical Center.

What is offered: The menu features a variety of ramen dishes, sushi, sashimi, fried rice and more.

Urban Cookhouse is now open in Prosper, offering a variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads. Owner James Zemlock said he emphasizes a farm-to-table approach, with most ingredients coming directly from local producers across North Texas. "If I can get it local, I'll buy it local," he said.

Frisco ISD students return to campus for 2025-26 school year

Frisco ISD students returned to campus Aug. 13 for the 2025-26 school year. 

What you need to know: This year, there are new school zones. Drivers should stay alert and reduce their speed to 20 mph when entering a school zone. Using a cell phone while driving in a school zone is prohibited unless you're using hands-free technology, according to the release.

Looking ahead: The fall and spring semesters are similar in length with only four more instructional days in the spring semester.
