Early voting starts April 20 in Grapevine, Colleyville, Trophy Club

In-person early voting for the May 2 election will begin April 20 across Tarrant and Denton counties for local school district and council races.

What you need to know: During early voting, which runs April 20-28, except for April 21, voters can cast ballots countywide at any of 46 early voting locations in Tarrant County. On election day May 2, voters will also be able to cast ballots at any polling place in Tarrant County.

Based on the date, early voting polling location hours vary, according to Tarrant County’s election website. Early voting hours include:

  • April 20, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • April 22-24, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • April 25, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • April 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • April 27-28, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

More details: Denton County voters can cast ballots at any of the 42 polling locations during early voting, but must vote at their precinct on election day.

Early voting hours in Denton County are:
  • April 20, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • April 22-25, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • April 26, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • April 27-28, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Cowboys Golf Club reopens in Grapevine following multimillion-dollar renovations

A multimillion-dollar renovation of Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine is complete, and the course has reopened, according to a news release.

The details: Cowboys Golf Club includes a redesigned championship course, a Dallas Cowboys-themed high-tech driving range with game-used turf from AT&T Stadium and an 18-hole putting course. 

More details: Per the news release, other renovations included:

  • Rebuilding golf cart paths

  • Expanding and modernizing all 18 greens

  • Installing Tif3D Bermuda grass on greens of 18 holes and the practice facility

  • Rebuilding five sets of tees with a square design

  • Repositioning every greenside bunker to better frame the green

  • Reimagining architectural styling and bunkering features

The course reopened in March following the renovations by Arcis Golf and Beau Welling Design.

Weekly service from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Jordan launching in May

Royal Jordanian Airlines will launch a new year-round stop from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, on May 10.

The details: According to a news release, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will operate four times per week between the airports. Flights start at $475, according to the airline’s website.

Royal Jordanian also flies into John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, O’Hare International Airport in Chicago and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. in the United States. There are other North American flights to Toronto and Montreal in Canada, according to its website.
